Lufthansa Munich new Senator Lounge

Lufthansa has opened a new Senator Lounge at Lufthansa’s Munich Hub, enhancing the EU departures area.  The carrier is spending Euro 150 million on upgrades and extensions of its worldwide lounge network and has new aircraft worth Euro 16 billion on order until 2016. The airline had also opened its first Senator and Business Class Lounge earlier this year, at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International (CSI) Airport, in India.
Axel Hilgers, Director South Asia, Lufthansa said, “The new lounge in Munich is one of many ongoing investments in new products and services that enhance the travel experience of our customers.”

The latest addition in the global network of premium lounges also marks the debut of a new Lufthansa lounge design: featuring a bar at the centre where travellers find a wide choice of brewed coffee, tea, wines, spirits and non-alcoholic drinks. Travellers can choose from a variety of hot and cold meals, freshen up in showers or use computer workstation. Via its Munich hub, voted among the best five airports globally in the recent Skytrax survey, Lufthansa offers more than 5,000 weekly flights to 100 destinations in 38 countries. In this core market, where Lufthansa celebrates 50 years of operations in 2009, the airline has been upholding all frequencies and destinations in the current summer schedule.
