A flight attendant's salary varies from airline to airline. The pay ranges from about $13.00-$40.00 per flight hour or more. On average, a flight attendant will work 75 hours a month. Flight attendants also receive a “per diem” allowance for meal expenses while on duty away from home. Most per diem are about $1.50-$2.00 an hour. On average, flight attendants work anywhere from 150-400 hours of time away from base each month where they are making the $1.50-$2.00 an hour on top of the flight hour pay.
