Lufthansa New Senator Lounge Washington Dulles

Mar. 19, 2009 – Lufthansa today opened the doors to its new Senator and Business lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport. the lounge offers a full set of amenities so that guests can escape from the stress of traveling and relax until their departure. With the opening of this lounge, Lufthansa further expands its lounge network to an impressive total of 66 lounges at 26 worldwide locations, including six U.S. cities. Washington Dulles is Lufthansa’s third U.S. lounge to open during the last several months
The common entrance is located at the departures level in Concourse B. Located just
behind the reception desk, the Senator Lounge boasts 95 seats, a sleek design and
great views. A stairway and elevator in the reception area lead to the lower level
Business Lounge with seating for about 90 and showers. The lounges are outfitted in
Lufthansa’s latest design elements and offer both a generous comfort zone with cozy
leather seats and TVs, a work area with complementary Internet access from stationary Internet-terminals and a bistro zone featuring various snacks and drinks.
Star Alliance Gold cardholders can access the lounge.passengers can now enjoy more space, comfort and privacy until just before departure

Lufthansa expects to welcome more than 100,000 lounge guests per year in the new
lounge, including passengers of its Star Alliance partners SAS, South African Airways and Austrian Airlines.

“This investment also corresponds with the importance of Washington Dulles as one of
Lufthansa’s top U.S. destinations, and further qualifies it as a potential A380 destination in the future.” said Benedikt Schneider, Regional Director of Sales, Mid-Atlantic & Southeast U.S.
